I am a bilateral leg amputee for over 10 years, a manual wheelchair and mobility scooter user. Due to injury I also have weakness in my upper limbs and problems with fine dexterity. I see and face challenges every day.
I am mentally strong, determined and want to use what I have learnt in life to help improve the experiences of other less abled people.
Over the years I have seen so many things that able bodied people take for granted or do not even see, yet from a disabled persons point of view they can be a big challenge or obstacle.

When you are walking along the pavement, are you consciously scanning the ground ahead for obstructions and looking where the next dropped kerb is to plan your route?
I know I am, I am always looking and planning ahead.
